Following the legacy of Fortunato Pantheon in Rome, Fortunato Belgrade upholds a long-standing tradition of hospitality, passion, and professionalism in offering an unforgettable dining experience, with a focus on authentic Italian cuisine.
The founder, Fortunato Baldassarri, gained experience in prestigious restaurants, serving international celebrities like Liz Taylor and Alfred Hitchcock. In 1975, he opened his own restaurant, Da Fortunato, near the Pantheon that he later passed on to his son Jason, who now successfully runs the family business.
The Belgrade restaurant is the culmination of years of dedication to the true flavors of Italy, brought to life by a team deeply rooted in Italian culinary traditions. Our head chef Aleksandar Arsić spent a year in Rome, immersing himself in the art of Italian cooking to ensure that every dish reflects the rich heritage of Italy. The Belgrade restaurant is managed by Ratko Maksić, who brings over 22 years of experience living and working in Rome, and is supported by a dedicated Italian team who oversee every detail, ensuring that the same quality and authenticity from Rome are delivered here in Belgrade.
Our Team
Our kitchen is led by Aleksandar Arsić, who spent a year living and working in Rome, learning directly from the esteemed chefs of Fortunato Pantheon, including head chefs Luca Cicchinelli and Daniel Pasquali. His deep understanding of authentic Italian cuisine is reflected in every dish we serve.
Additionally, Giuliano Raspagliosi, manager and sommelier of Fortunato in Rome, played a key role in setting up Fortunato Belgrade and continues to supervise the restaurant monthly to ensure the same exceptional standards are upheld.
Through a careful selection of premium ingredients and an ongoing passion for refining culinary techniques, Fortunato Belgrade offers a sensory dining experience where colors, flavors, and aromas blend harmoniously, creating dishes that satisfy both the palate and the soul.
